Captain's Log #1818: New Year Rhapsody IV - Logging Again

Hello again, everybody.
I want to apologize for the large gap between the logs. I've been busy with my job and personal stuff. However, I've gathered enough topics and strength to give you guys this blog. So once again, it's time for (belated) news, updates, thoughts, and general ramblings. So, let's begin.
The newest Biscuit Man comics are still being made along with the graphic novel version. I've been working on them by bits and pieces during the holidays. So, I'm hoping to start uploading again between mid January and early February.
I've been working on a fan made series called Luffy and Robin. It started as a Valentine's Day project that I did for fun. However, I had so much fun writing the two characters together that I want to make it a side project in my free time.
A new Total Drama spin-off called Total Drama Daycare was announced not too long ago. I dropped TD awhile ago because I realized that I disagreed with the direction the show has took since World Tour. However, I'm curious of how this babyfication of the characters will go, but I'm not very optimistic (which is rare for me).
Ever since I gotten Netflix, I found so many great shows. Bojack Horseman is amazing series that takes the usual animated sitcom formula to dramatic spin. Due to its strong continuity and theme of "actions have consequences", the series does take dark turns that can lead to a lot of wam endings which can get kind of depressing. However, I do recommend the show wholeheartedly. It just needs to be binged in small doses.
Around the time, I finished Bojack, I moved to Voltron: Legendary Defender which was another series that heard good things about. I enjoyed the series for what it was while I knowing about the controversies surrounding it. Also, Pidge is best ̶g̶i̶r̶l̶.
While waiting for the next season of Voltron, I watched Trollhunters. I found the series very entertaining. While it did have some immature jokes sprinkled in, it also have some mature themes to balance it out. I think people should at least be given a watch to see how they
like it.
After my brother borrowed my DVD of Cyber 009, I had the urge to go watch it again. However, I ran into the Cyborg 009: Call of Justice/vs Devilman specials. They were both surprisingly good outside of Call of Justice's change of character designs and CGI animation. I recommend them both, but slightly for 009 vs Devilman due to the blood violence.
Moving on to video games, I got to play Sonic Forces. I can best describe this game as okay but could have been better. While I do like the boost game play, it felt watered down in this game. While Classic Sonic game play did have problems, I didn't flat out hate it like most people. The custom character was the highlight of the game with it's customization and game play. I would go on, but others have brought up the pros and cons. If you want to play the game, I would recommend that people wait for a price drop.
Dragon Ball Fighter Z has been looking amazing every new piece of info that they release. Although, the season pass does rub me the wrong way. I just hope they don't ruin a potentially good game with faulty DLC.
I was originally planning a segment about Mario Oddyssey and Ultra Sun/Moon. Due to both being out, I don't have an opinion on them until I play them myself.
To wrap things, last year was a crazy year. I'm personally hope that this year will go better for not just me, but all of us. I also hope I will have time to write more of these in the future. Peace.
